GRIP-X Co. is a local Australian owned business
Sometimes you have to be brave to change the game. After hearing many stories about poor court conditions and player safety, we decided to see what we could do to help. This led to around 2 ½ years of research using collective information from rubber compounding and substrate engineers focusing on sustainable materials.
Over this period we tested around 10 different variants of our formulas. We consulted industry experts including sports bio-mechanists, movement scientists and kinesiology experts along the way to ensure our formula supported “natural movements”. The result was a significant improvement for agility and dynamic response across various surfaces and footwear models. GRIP-X (“X” Roman numeral for 10) formula was then created and patented.
From there we consulted experts in floor preparation, including local industry installers and rejuvenators, to ensure our product has zero negative impact on court surfaces. From there tested showed our formula showed no contamination of surface material stability across various coating types. So another “tick”!
Our last step was to validate in game performance. And what better way to do so testing across various sports, age groups and levels. GRIP-X was tested in many hard court sports including basketball, squash, badminton and futsal on courts across Australia including Darwin, Townsville, Dubbo, Mandurah and Launceston.
GRIP-X has been designed for athletes of all levels, all ages, all abilities. It has been packed in bags for Australia team players as they take on the world and on the soles of shoes when kids score their first goal (yay!!!)
That’s why we support junior players and local sporting organizations where we can. You may have seen some our Ambassadors using GRIP-X at a venue of one of their social media posts? GRIP-X has over 40 ambassadors in our crew including NBL & WNBL players and super talented athletes in Squash, Futsal, Badminton, Volleyball, Indoor Netball, Pickleball, even Fencing! We at GRIP-X Co are really proud to say we invest back into local athletes and communities.
