There are many reasons why there is a build of dust on court surfaces and how dust can circulate during a game. Stagnant dust or “dirt particle” build up is mainly due to the surface condition or coating. Courts are typically made of various types of porous hardwood, sports asphalt or even painted/lacquered concrete. All of these materials are very porous, meaning they have tiny holes that can easily trap dust and dirt.
Another reason why your shoes might get dusty on a basketball court is because of the way you move. When you run, jump, and pivot, you’re constantly kicking up dust and dirt that then settles on your shoes. Lastly, if the court is old or hasn’t been cleaned in a while, there’s a good chance that there’s a layer of dust on the surface.

Applying Grip-X enhances greater traction and allows you to direct the ground reaction force more horizontally, which increases acceleration and deceleration in a traverse plane.

Instructions: Depending on the court surface apply 2 to 3 coats of GRIP-X on the soles of your shoes, wait 30-60 seconds to touch dry. Wipe off any excess. For best results apply GRIP-X to soles of shoes 1-2 hours before first use to promote best adhesion.
Cleaning: GRIP-X contains ingredients that naturally bond to provide adhesion to shoe soles and grip to hard court surfaces. At times nozzles may build up a film which reduces the ability of the pump spray. To rectify this simply clean the nozzle with a pin. For excessive buildup run the nozzle under warm water or clear the film off the nozzle face. After spraying GRIP-X its best to wipe the nozzle to avoid build up and store upright.
